Oenone and Paris

Oenone was the tragic, abandoned first wife of the Trojan prince Paris.

He dumped her when he ran off with someone of youth and beauty, Helen, but after the siege of the city and later when he was wounded, he begged her to take him back. She naturally refused but hung herself after she learned of his death.
